BIG NEWS
NEW CLASSES WILL BE STARTING SOON
JEWELRY SOCIALS and they are just $15 for 3 hours
Dates and Time will be posted next week

April 27th - 9:30 - 12:30
Free Form Tube Necklace
From Flat to Fabulous

This technique class will teach you to take flat metal from flat to fabulous
Sometimes making the simple shapes with metal can be the hardest. Rolling a flat
sheet into a tube is all in the tools and pre cutting of the metal. Getting that flat
metal to form a cone - well that too takes some planning.
The bail on the bottom photo is quick and very easy with just a tip or 2.

The rolled tubes will be embossed and a patina added.
The cone shape will have a wire wrapped technique over it and metal
dangles from the open bottom. About 6 different techniques in all.

We will be making metal tubes, cones and other simple rolled shapes which can be combined into a necklace using chain.
We will also make an ear cuff

Tools you will need:
  • Bail making pliers - med size
  • Round nose pliers
  • Flat nose pliers

Coming in May
Cold Connections
Rivets - Eyelets - Hinges

Connecting metal without a torch...it's easy and can really take your jewelry making
to the next level. Also you will love what you can do with a hinge - great for bracelets!
I will also be giving a jewelers saw demo and if you have one and haven't used it yet bring that with you and I'll show you how to load the blades and start sawing. The saw isn't needed for class, but will make the creation of hinges much easier.

  • Round nose pliers
  • Flat nose pliers
