Last year I joined a talented group of craftspeople at Design Style Guide.
This group offers unique hand crafted items for your home.
Anything you could possibly want to decorate your home
can be found at there site.
Recently Design Style started groups for each state and
I've met some very talented ladies in
my beautiful home state of Tennessee.
We've been talking back and forth for a while and sharing information
about our crafts, our dreams and hopes for our artistic futures.
I wanted to take a moment to share their work with you
and if you have a little
time please go by and check out their on line shops.
First up is Lisa who makes beautiful furniture, from
rediscovered vintage pieces.
Wouldn't this brighten any room of your home?
She also does custom upholstery to really accent her painted furniture.
Sandy is a photographer who sells prints of her photos
and also makes beautiful gift cards.
Her photos of every day items are far from every day.
She has a natural eye for light & shadow. Her still life's are works of art.
Kris hand paints floor cloths, table runners and
other beautiful home accents.
Her products have versatility and durability.
She has a wide variety of designs including retro.
Journi makes mosaic jewelry, wall art and garden decor.
Her garden items would really liven up your out door rooms, and
the craftsmanship in her jewelry is excellent.
Photography by Jen is wonderful contemporary fine art.
Jen looks at the world around her and shares these beautifully unique
visions with you. Thou these have a contemporary feel they would
look great in any decor.
Elizabeth creates Fused Glass.
Her work is filled with color and seems to almost be alive
with light and textuers.
Her jewelry design is lite and fresh. I'm a sucker for dragonflies.
And for now I'm the last member of our little group.
Having other artists and craftspeople in my area is a blessing.
Nashville proper has more than our share of wonderful little shops
and galleries that support folks just like us.
We are planning on getting together next month
to meet face to face for the first time.
It won't be like meeting strangers thou,
for we've already been talking and swapping ideas.
